The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering significant discounts on select resident hunting and fishing licenses through Friday, January 3, 2025. This initiative, prompted by an executive order from Governor Ron DeSantis, aims to encourage outdoor activities among Floridians during the holiday season.

The available discounts include:

  • Annual Gold Sportsman License: Reduced by 50% to $49.25.

  • Five-Year Gold Sportsman License: Reduced by 50% to $246.25.

  • Youth Lifetime Sportsman License (ages 0-17): Reduced by 50%, with prices varying by age group.

  • Annual Freshwater/Saltwater Fishing Combination License: Now available for $5, down from nearly $30.

Governor DeSantis stated, "This initiative is a fantastic opportunity for Florida families to spend quality time outdoors and to connect with our state’s remarkable wildlife and ecosystems."

Residents can purchase these discounted licenses through several convenient methods:

  • Online: Visit GoOutdoorsFlorida.com.

  • In Person: At local tax collector's offices or participating license agents.

  • Mobile App: Use the Fish|Hunt FL app, available for Apple and Android devices.

The Gold Sportsman License offers comprehensive benefits, including hunting and both freshwater and saltwater fishing privileges, along with associated permits.

These discounts provide an excellent opportunity for residents to explore Florida's natural resources and engage in outdoor recreational activities. The FWC encourages families to take advantage of these offers before they expire on January 3, 2025.
