IT’S A REUNION AT JAG GALLERY
Duval Square’s Jag Gallery reunites two old friends for a new exhibit, REUNION, opening on Wednesday, June 4th. The gallery welcomes the return of two fine artists, Key West’s Aase May and New Orleans based Cathy Rose who first exhibited together at the former Lucky Street’s White Street location 30 years ago.
Asse unveils a new collection of her simple, pleasing but elegant oil and cold wax paintings, outwardly uncomplicated yet evocative at the same time. Cathy returns with a trove of her familiar, brilliantly assembled works of found and vintage objects, some featuring figures with features of hand formed clay, along with a selection of delicate framed face paintings under antique glass negatives.
REUNION opens with a gallery reception on June 4th from 5:30-7:30. Gallery events are free and all are welcome. For more information contact the gallery at jaggallerykw@gmail.com or 305.407.6202
