The City of Key West announced that registration is open for the 2025 Hometown Holiday Parade, set for Saturday, December 6, at 7 p.m. The parade will include community floats, marching bands, school groups, and an appearance by Santa Claus. The route starts at Truman Avenue and White Street next to Bayview Park, heads east on Truman Avenue, turns onto Duval Street, and proceeds north to the end at Eaton Street.
Entries are limited to three support vehicles each. Motor vehicle clubs and similar groups must register as single units with vehicle counts specified in advance. The free event draws spectators to sidewalks along Truman Avenue and Duval Street. Streets in Old Town close in stages beginning at 6:30 p.m. City police and Monroe County Sheriff's Office personnel handle traffic and crowd control. Floats distribute candy and beads. Judges present trophies in categories that include lighting and marching units.
The parade is one component of the city's month-long Holiday Fest program.
