Duval Square’s JAG Gallery announces its newest exhibit opening on Wednesday July 16th. WHERE STYLES COLLIDE features new work from two gifted artists with decidedly contrasting styles and marks the return of Santa Fe based artist Kaline Carter joined by a fan favorite from past juried shows, Carole Faye, officially joining the Jag Gallery family of artists.
Kaline Carter arrives with more from his popular ‘Key West” series, hard edged, mixed media paintings in a unique style which has evolved after years of experimenting, refining and pushing artistic boundaries; explorations in color, geometry and texture inspired by the local urban landscape. Key West’s Carole Faye delivers more from what has become her signature style of truly mixed media painting. She is a scavenger at heart and her adventures in scavenging lead to inspired pictorial observations of local scenes and the island’s inhabitants captured with a certain scattered precision on canvas or wood incorporating oil and torn fragments of local quotidian marketing materials…far from ordinary.
WHERE STYLES COLLIDE opens with a gallery reception on Wednesday, July 16th from 5:30 - 7:30. Gallery events are free and all are invited.
