Jag Gallery announces another in its series of gallery talks hosting Key West artist Carole Faye on Thursday July 24th at 5pm. Faye, a new addition to the Jag family of artists is currently featured, along with Santa Fe’s Kaline Carter in WHEN STYLES COLLIDE on view through August 3rd.
Carole, who refers to herself as a “scavenger” will discuss how that practice leads to her mixed media painting and technique, observations of Key West scenes, island inhabitants, activities of daily living and recreation, captured with a seemingly scattered yet precise pictorial observations incorporating oil and torn fragments of local, quotidian marketing materials, far from ordinary and literally mixed media.
